Holding an apartment against police

The defence is almost entirely done before you ever get to the door. An officer who wants your printers has to look you up on the tablet, run an immigration check, and get a warrant off the back of it. That check keys off how you entered the country, so:

Do that and the raid simply cannot begin. Skip it and you are relying on nobody in a 50-player server checking the apartments — a bet that officers are actively farming, because each seized printer pays them around $10,000.

Where players hide printers, and why it half works

Officers sweeping the block go floor by floor, and the common advice on the police side is to remember the top floor, because that is where people stash machines assuming nobody will climb that far. Height buys you a few seconds against a lazy sweep and nothing at all against a warrant. Placement is a delaying tactic; your immigration record is the actual lock.

Do printers survive if I lose the apartment?

Printers are yours, not the room's. They survive leaving the game, switching servers, and being arrested while you carry them. What does not survive is a successful raid on the unit they are placed in. If you despawn an apartment deliberately, you are releasing the unit, not destroying your machines.

FAQ

How do you open apartment doors in San Diego Border Roleplay?

Your own doors open on approach. To let someone else through, add their name to the whitelist in the apartment menu. Police can only force a door when they hold a warrant against the occupant.

Can cops open apartment doors from the inside?

Entry is the hard part, and entry needs a warrant. Once an officer is legitimately inside on a warrant, the raid is already happening — the door is no longer what is protecting you.

How many money printers fit in one apartment?

50. That is the current placement cap and it works out to roughly $163,000 an hour.
